Jan's pre-1914 "0" Frick sawmill is employed to produce unique cuts of wood seldom found through today's commercial mill operations. At the Siehler Sawmill, lumber is cut according to individual need - whether it be lumber cut to an unusual thickness, a unique quarter-sawn board earmarked for a hand-made dulcimer, or matchbooked pieces destined for a headboard that will be passed down from generation to generation. When so much time and love are devoted to handcrafting, it seems only natural that the lumber used for these projects be as unique and beautiful as possible. |
